Beef and Broccoli


Place into slow cooker on low heat:

  • 1/2 cup chicken or beef stock
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 cup apricot jam
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

whisk it up and add

  • 1 1/2 lbs cheap steak sliced thin, maybe brown it before slicing

Slow cooker for

4 hours on low

Remove meat to a large pot. Whisk up and add

  • 1/4 cup stock or water (or cooled down juice from pot)
  • 2 tbsp corn starch

And stir it into the meat. Then add

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 red pepper sliced thin
  • A lot of Broccoli

And simmer until done, maybe 20 minutes or so. Serve over rice.
